As computers, monitors, modems, routers and other electronic devices get warm, what chemicals do they release into the air? What affect do these outgassed chemicals from computers and other sources have on our health and our ability to use computers comfortably or feel healthy? This website is devoted to finding out.

If you have a sensitive nose, and take a wiff of a warm electronic device, you'll know there are some pretty unnatural chemicals eminating from it. But, what chemicals are they? Information about what we're breathing from our computers and other devices isn't readily available. Computers are everywhere, so if they are 'outgassing' undesirable chemicals it would seem like a huge problem.

We know that the amount of man made chemicals is increasing in us all, and that some of these chemicals are the same ones used in electronic devices. Brominated flame retardants (PBDEs) is one such example. There are also other chemicals such as solvents, materials used to make the circuit board itself, and chemicals have been suggested including hexane, benzene, toluene, phthalates, and others.

For most people this is a non-issue. For others -- those who suffer horrible reactions while using a computer -- finding out if outgassed chemicals from computers and other electronics are having a bad effect on their health is very important.

What are the effects of computers on health? Do computers or monitors laptops, LCDs or CRTs cause headaches, eye pain, nausea, red skin sores, fibromyalgia, RSI repetitive Strain Injury, repetitive typing, or carpal tunnel syndrome? What exactly is emitted from electronic devices, laptops, notebook computers, monitors, flat panel lcds and etc? Are chemical emissions, or outgassed or offgassedchemicals responsible for autism, depression, bi-polar, ADD, attention deficit disorder, enervation, chronic fatigue syndrome, lack of energy and so on? What about computer screen flicker, sick building syndrome, IAQ, indoor air quality, flourescent backlight, refresh rate, absorbed chemicals, dental work, heavy metals, body parasites, monitor's fluorescents EMFs, electromagnetic radiation, phosphors cadmium, epoxies, not-outgassed LCDs or LEDs, food & chemical sensitivity, electrosensitivity, photosensitivity, skin conditions, bleeding, miscarriage, outgas, offgas sick, computer allergy, monitor pain, monitor nausea, vomit, will this sentence never end, electronic emissions, electronic's emissions, electronics emissions, computer emissions, monitor emissions, circuit board emissions outgas offgas, effects of computer on health, computer effects on health, monitor use health, is this really a sentence, effects of lcds on health, effects of computer radiation, computer use, effects of computer useage.
